NFL Playoff Fantasy Draft Strategy by Position
Position-by-position breakdown of how to approach your NFL playoff fantasy draft for maximum value.
Quarterbacks (Draft 2)
QBs score the most in playoff fantasy. Draft your first QB in round 1-2 and your second by round 5. Target QBs on teams favored to reach the Super Bowl — they get the most games.
Running Backs (Draft 3)
Volume is everything. Target bell-cow backs who get 20+ touches per game. Playoff football skews run-heavy, especially in cold-weather games. Draft your first RB by round 3.
Wide Receivers (Draft 3)
WR1s on passing teams are gold. Target the top option from each team's passing game. Avoid WR2s and WR3s — the condensed schedule means fewer targets to go around.
Tight Ends (Draft 2)
The TE position is thin — there are maybe 3-4 elite playoff TEs. Kelce is worth a top-5 pick. After the top tier, wait until the last rounds for your TE2.
